Profile in stock, Unit 7Home/Trade
For builders, installers and shopfittersBuy from the people
who cut the metal.
GXG is the fabricator, not a counter in front of one. Smart Systems profiles are cut, machined and assembled in our own unit in Marden, and the person who answers the phone is in that building.
The extruder rolls the profile. A stockholder keeps it in a yard. A fabricator cuts and builds it. A trade counter takes your call and passes it back down the line. You pay all four and you chase all four.
Three of those four are us.
Smart Systems roll the profile. We hold it, cut it, machine it, build it and answer the phone. One company, one number, and the saw is in the room.
When a size is wrong, the saw belongs to somebody else.
The site stops
A wrong opening size is not fixed by an email. It is fixed by a machine, and the machine is three companies away from the person you are talking to.
The margin goes
Every hand in the chain takes a cut of a price you already quoted fixed. You absorb the difference, because the customer signed off weeks ago.
Nobody owns it
The counter points at the fabricator. The fabricator points at the extruder. You are the one standing on site explaining it to the customer.
Four steps, and you deal with one company.
Ring it through or email a schedule. A rough drawing is enough to start a conversation.
Written and itemised, so you can see what is in it before you commit.
Held profile, our own saw, our own machining centre, our own benches. Nothing subcontracted.
Pick it up from Unit 7, or it goes out on the lorry to your site.
Lead times depend on what you are ordering and what is on the bench that week. Ring the factory and you will get a straight answer on the day rather than a hedge.
What an account with the factory gets you.
No counter in the middle. You deal with the building the frames are made in, on trade terms, whether you want supply only or the whole job fabricated.
A trade account
Open an account and deal with the factory directly rather than through a counter. Ring or email to get one started.
Trade pricing
Competitive trade pricing across the range, with volume supply for larger projects.
Supply only, or more
Take supply-only frames for your own installers, or ongoing manufacturing support if you would rather we carried the fabrication.
Technical support
Dedicated trade support and technical assistance from the people who machine the profile, not a call centre reading a datasheet.
Made in house
A manufacturer, not a reseller. Strict quality control and consistent fabrication standards, because it is all cut on one set of machines.
Collect or delivered
Collect from Unit 7 in Marden, or it goes out on the lorry on a reliable delivery schedule across the twelve counties below.
Six systems, held and built in one unit.
These are the systems we stock profile for, machine and assemble in Marden. If it is on this list, it is made here rather than bought in.

Emmegi twin-head saw, Unit 7You are welcome to stand next to your own job.
Most trade buyers never see the building their frames come out of. Ring ahead and you can walk the floor, see the saw and the machining centre, and decide for yourself whether it is worth moving your work here.

Patched as far as it would go.
Timber and steel frames that would no longer hold a secure unit, cracked and boarded panes, and bars fitted behind the glass to make up the difference. It came out, and an aluminium shopfront screen went in behind it.
Before
AfterTwelve counties, out of one building in Kent.
Trade orders go out across the South of England. Everything on the lorry was cut and built in Marden that week, not bought in from somewhere else and passed on.
Outside these counties, ring anyway. If the job is worth the journey we will tell you straight, and if it is not we will say that too.
