A lot of Sussex work is close to the coast, and salt air is the thing that decides how a powder coated frame looks in fifteen years. It is worth specifying the finish deliberately rather than taking whatever comes.
Coastal finishes
Smart supply marine grade powder coating as standard on several of the systems we hold, and marine approved application is a stated capability rather than a claim we are making up. If your job is within sight of the sea, say so at enquiry and we will specify accordingly.
Weather ratings, since they exist
On an exposed elevation the published test classes matter more than they do inland. Alitherm Heritage carries water tightness Class 9A at 600Pa and wind Class AE at 2400Pa. Visoglide Plus carries water Class 7a at 300Pa and the same wind class. Those are Smart's published figures and they are on each product page.
Bi-folds facing weather
Visofold takes either a low threshold for access or a rebated threshold for better weather resistance. On a south-facing coastal elevation the rebated option earns its keep, and we will tell you which we would fit.
