Series 16 veranda

Series 16 swaps the glass roof for 16mm triple-wall structured polycarbonate. That buys you half a metre more projection than Series 6, the same 4 metres between posts, and a noticeably lower price.

Where the money goes

Polycarbonate is the cheaper roof and it is lighter, which is why this system projects to 4 metres where the glass version stops at 3.5. It is not as clear as glass and it is louder in heavy rain. On a carport, a walkway or a canopy over a back door, none of that matters. Over a seating area you will use on summer evenings, it might.

Roof options

Clear, opal, bronze and Heatshield. Heatshield is the one to ask about if the veranda faces south, because a clear polycarbonate roof over a patio in July is warmer than people expect.

What it can become

Veranda, carport, walkway canopy, entrance canopy or commercial canopy, with a glass room conversion available as an upgrade. Gutter profiles come traditional or contemporary.

Two things to check with us

Lighting on this system runs to the gutter only, not into the main bars. And unlike Series 6, 35 and Xtra, the published literature for Series 16 does not state a guarantee period or a life expectancy. We are not going to assume it matches the others. Ask us and we will get it confirmed in writing before you order.
