MC 600 Plus

MC 600 Plus is Smart Systems' stick build curtain wall system, CWCT tested and rated for buildings up to three storeys. We fabricate it at Unit 7 in Marden, on the same benches as the windows and doors that go into it.

Made here, not bought in

Curtain walling is cut, machined and assembled at Unit 7 in Marden, in the same building as the windows and doors that go into it. On a facade that matters more than usual, because the screen and the openers have to agree with each other on site, and they were built on the same benches by the same people.

One profile for mullion and transom

MC 600 Plus uses butt joints and an interchangeable profile, so the same extrusion serves as both mullion and transom. That means less waste off the bar and, more visibly, consistent sightlines across the whole elevation rather than a slightly different section where the horizontals meet the verticals.

Where it suits

Smart specify it for commercial and residential buildings up to three storeys, and for ground floor treatment on low rise commercial. New build and refurbishment both. If your elevation goes higher than three storeys, tell us early and we will say so rather than quote it.

What it is tested to

The system is CWCT tested and Document L compliant. Air permeability Class 4 at 600Pa, water tightness Class R7 at 600Pa, and resistance to wind Class 2400 at 2400Pa. Those are the numbers a specifier asks for, so they are on the page rather than in a drawer.

Sizes and glazing

Typical sightlines run 54.5 to 56.5mm. Back boxes come in eight depths from 50mm to 225mm, and glazing units in eleven thicknesses from 28mm to 54mm, so the system can be tuned to the loading and the thermal figure rather than the other way round. Sloped transoms are available.

Colour and finish

Aluminium with a polyamide thermal break, powder coated, and dual colour is available so the elevation and the interior do not have to match.
