VS600 vertical sliding

VS600 is the vertical slider: the proportions of a traditional sash in aluminium, with a tilt-in action so the outside of the glass can be cleaned from indoors. It goes into flats and terraces where a hinged casement swinging over a street is not an option.

Why a vertical slider

A side-hung casement needs somewhere to swing. Above a pavement, over a balcony, or on a flat two floors up, that is a problem. A vertical slider moves in its own plane, so it opens fully without ever leaving the reveal.

Cleaning from inside

The sash tilts in, which means the outside face of the glass can be cleaned standing in the room. On a first-floor flat that is the difference between a window that gets cleaned and one that does not.

Where it goes

Residential new build, heritage-style properties, listed building refurbishments subject to approval, apartment developments and commercial work. It is used on schools and hospitals too, where the tilt-in action removes a working-at-height job from the maintenance schedule.

The one restriction

VS600 is single colour only. Every other system we hold will do dual colour, inside one shade and outside another. This one will not, and it is better you know that now than after the survey.
