Communal entrance doors

Communal doors are built on Smart Systems commercial door profiles and made to take the hardware a shared building actually needs: keypads, fobs, intercoms, automatic operators and low thresholds, specified at order rather than drilled in afterwards.

Specify the hardware at order, not after

The difference between a good communal door and a bad one is usually not the door. It is whether the access control, the closer and the threshold were designed in or added later. Retro-fitted kit means holes in a powder coated frame and a door that never closes quite right again. Tell us what is going on it and we will build the frame to take it.

What goes on them

Keypads, fobs and intercoms. Automatic operators. Multi-point locking. Low thresholds where accessibility matters. Glazed aluminium entrance screens either side. Toughened or laminated safety glass.

Schools

Education work has its own list: finger-safe hinges, anti-panic hardware, automatic closers and access control. If your job is a school, say so at enquiry, because that specification changes the frame as well as the ironmongery.

Where they go

Apartment blocks, offices and shared residential entrances. Retail, showrooms, salons, restaurants, cafes and office receptions. Primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports halls and classroom blocks.
