Where the opening goes

This is the decision most people get told rather than asked. The sashes can all fold one way to a side, or fold to one end so a single leaf works as a normal door for everyday use, or split in the middle to give you a pair of doors. If you are opening onto a patio you use most days, the single-door option is usually the one you want, and it costs nothing extra to specify at order.

In or out

Visofold folds internally or externally. Externally keeps the floor clear inside and is the default on most jobs. Internally is the answer when there is a step, a planter or a level threshold detail that will not tolerate leaves stacking outside.

Thresholds

A low threshold for unimpeded access, or a rebated threshold for better weather resistance. Low thresholds look and feel better and are what most homeowners ask for. On an exposed elevation facing weather, the rebated option earns its keep. We will tell you which we would fit on your opening.

Security

Multi-point lock mechanisms on the main opening sashes, and shoot-bolt locks on the floating mullions, which is the part of a bi-fold people forget to ask about.
